Porsche creates the GT3 Bergsport for the Alpine roads
Porsche Exclusive Manufaktur has created a new special edition of the 911 GT3 for four Alpine countries, combining a lightweight-focused specification with a bespoke new paint color. Limited to just 100 examples, the GT3 Bergsport pays tribute to the mountain roads and motorsport culture of Austria, France, Italy and Switzerland.
A 911 GT3 inspired by the Alps
The Porsche 911 GT3 Bergsport is based on the current 911 GT3 with Touring Package and was created specifically for customers in the four countries that make up the Alpine region. Porsche will produce just 100 examples, each configured with a manual six-speed gearbox and the Lightweight Package.
The name Bergsport, meaning "mountain sport", reflects the inspiration behind the car. Rather than being a purely cosmetic special edition, Porsche has used the Alpine setting as a theme throughout the car, from its exterior color and badges to the details inside the cabin.
The GT3 Bergsport also receives a front axle lift system and a 90-liter fuel tank. Interestingly, the Lightweight Package is combined with aluminum wheels rather than the magnesium wheels normally associated with the package, finished specifically for this edition.
Valley Green Metallic: a new Alpine green
The most distinctive element of the GT3 Bergsport is its new exterior color, Valley Green Metallic. Developed specifically for the project through Porsche's Paint to Sample Plus program, the color was created to reflect the deep greens and earthy brown tones found in the Alpine landscape.
Valley Green Metallic is a rich green metallic that changes character depending on the available light. In more subdued conditions the color appears deep and understated, while direct sunlight brings out the metallic structure and reveals fine gold metallic particles within the paint. These particles give the surface a noticeable sparkle and add warmth to the otherwise dark green shade.
The choice is particularly fitting for a car whose theme is built around mountain roads. Rather than using a bright or highly saturated green, Porsche opted for a more natural shade that connects the car to the forests and valleys surrounding the Alpine passes.
A carefully matched color palette
Valley Green Metallic is combined with a selection of contrasting details. The forged aluminum wheels are finished in Satin White Gold and Ceramica, while the brake calipers are painted in a contrasting orange. Tinted HD-Matrix LED headlights further distinguish the exterior.
A checkered flag motif, inspired by the Porsche 908 Bergspyder, is incorporated into the design, while GT3 Bergsport lettering identifies the special edition. The circular badge on the rear is especially significant: it depicts the four Alpine summits representing Austria, France, Italy and Switzerland, together with a winding road and mountain landscape.
The Alpine theme continues inside
The same approach continues in the interior, where Valleygreen leather brings the exterior color into the cabin. Ruby Star and Atacama details provide additional contrast, complemented by orange stitching and mountain-inspired cross-stitching.
The combination is deliberately more bespoke than the typical GT3 interior, with Porsche Exclusive Manufaktur using the cabin to reinforce the connection with the Alpine theme rather than simply adding special-edition badges.
Just 100 examples
Production of the Porsche 911 GT3 Bergsport is limited to 100 cars, with the edition offered exclusively to customers in Austria, France, Italy and Switzerland. Each example is created by Porsche Exclusive Manufaktur and combines the familiar GT3 Touring Package with the new Valley Green Metallic Paint to Sample Plus color and its Alpine-inspired details.
It will make its public debut at the Arosa ClassicCar hill climb in Switzerland on September 3, 2026. Porsche works driver Jörg Bergmeister will drive the car over the 7.3-kilometer course, which climbs 422 meters and features 76 corners.
It is an appropriate setting for the new special edition. The GT3 Bergsport was conceived around the character of Alpine driving roads, and its combination of a naturally aspirated flat-six, manual transmission and lightweight-focused specification makes it particularly well suited to the theme.
