BMW iX5 G65

The BMW iX5 (G65) is the fully electric member of the fifth-generation X5 family, joining the petrol, diesel, plug-in hybrid and hydrogen-powered versions of BMW's flagship SUV. It marks the first time the X5 nameplate is offered with a fully electric powertrain, using technology developed as part of BMW's transition towards its Neue Klasse generation.

Visually, the iX5 remains very close to the conventional X5, sharing the same body, proportions and overall design language. The main differences are found in the front and rear bumper detailing, grille treatment, aerodynamic elements and model-specific badging, while the overall appearance remains unmistakably that of a G65 X5.

The interior is shared with the wider G65 range and introduces BMW's new Panoramic iDrive system, including the wide Panoramic Vision display and a more digital-focused interface.

The iX5 is produced alongside the other G65 X5 variants at BMW Group Plant Spartanburg in the United States, with production beginning in 2026.

The iX5 shares much of its exterior color palette with the wider X5 range, including some new colors introduced for the G65 generation. This includes Pine Grey Metallic, the communication color specifically developed for the new generation, alongside familiar BMW finishes.
