Frozen Ocean Wave Blue is the matte version of Ocean Wave Blue Metallic, introduced as part of the Neue Klasse color palette.
It was introduced after the launch of the second-generation BMW iX3 (NA5), alongside Frozen Space Silver. The two Frozen finishes were initially the only special-order paint options available for the model before more Individual finishes were added later on.
Compared with the standard metallic version, Frozen Ocean Wave Blue gives the color a more subdued appearance while retaining its vibrant blue character.
