Pine Grey Metallic is a dark grey metallic paint introduced in the summer of 2026 as the main communication color for the new BMW X5 (G65) and its fully electric counterpart, the BMW iX5.
It has a muted, chalky appearance with a subtle greenish influence, giving it a distinctive character compared to BMW's more common grey finishes. The color shares some similarities with Lime Rock Grey, particularly in its soft, desaturated appearance, although Pine Grey is noticeably darker and more understated.
In direct light, the metallic particles, although very subtle, add depth and reveal more of the color's complexity, while in shade it takes on a darker, almost stone-like appearance.
